Putting all you have learned into practice!

Putting all you have learned into practice!

Find the adverb:

There was a young kitten called Frank
Whose mind was, quite frankly, too blank
He couldn't think clearly
At times he was nearly
Two splinters short of a plank!

Find the noun:

One day Frank was out and about
When he heard an extremely loud shout
He jumped in the air
On end stood all his hair
And his whiskers disappeared up his snout!

Find the verb:

A nose full of whiskers is bad
Poor Frank was most awfully sad
He crawled under a van
(Well you do if you can!)
'till he felt less sad and more glad!

Find the adjective:

I am dreadfully sorry to say
That the van started up and away
Frank's long whiskers got stuck
In the wheels of the truck
And he was dragged for a year and a day.

Find the alliteration:

The van stopped in Glasgow one night
Poor Frank felt flimsy with fright
He ran down to the docks
Where men wearing frocks
Played bagpipes - it was quite a sight.

Find the personification:

Frank decided to hop on a boat
Which was sitting quite nicely afloat
The boat started off
With a sneeze and a cough
(It had come out that day with no coat!)

Find the simile:

Frank felt much happier you know
Even though he was expected to row
Since the boat lost its power
Like a plant with no flower
But at least towards home he could go.

Find the homonyms:

Sadly Frank was now quite without hair
In fact he was really quite bare
So to hide all his blushes
He crouched down in the rushes
'Till he could pinch fur from a passing white hare.

Fill in the gap:

At last homeward bound Frank was able to hop
He was tired and quite fit to drop
The bits of white fur
Made him splutter and purr
'Till his owners could only shout "_______!"
