The red and black (with white spots of course) feathers of Prosper parrot were quite limp.

He had just got back from visiting the in the field and had had a wonderful time swooping over The Storyteller and that silly woman Annabelle Angermanagement but had had to leave in a hurry so had off-loaded his purple bodysuit and pink beak (with rather smart shiny covering by the way) into a field on the way home.

The bodysuit was very hot and sticky and his shine had gone quite dull. What to do?

A loud voice in his ear quite made him jump:

" is this? left hot and sticky trails all over the carpet? disgusting!"

Prosper had come home and found the plum on the sofa and a horrible mess in front of the fire. The nice long pile was now flattened and a tad smelly.

The parrot hung his head in shame.

"Well, they're not mine so they must be !" grumbled Prosper as he picked up the pearls.

" seen these before, oh...you know...that Annabelle Wotsit - they ?"

The head sank lower.

Suddenly, Prosper burst out laughing.

"Well, done you, parrot!" he screamed. " stand that woman! , a brazil nut to celebrate!"

The parrot cheered up immediately and, do you know, his were soon plump and shiny again. It only took a dab of washing up liquid and a towel to sort out the and the pair sat down to supper in front of the telly to watch their favourite programme " Roadshow".

The plum glow grew brighter and a strange humming could be heard...but the pair notice...
